Elemantary and Middle School Zielstattstraße
Munich
A new educational campus is being developed in Munich’s Sendling district, comprising an elementary school with four classes per grade, a middle school with five classes per grade, a childcare center, a three-court gymnasium, an indoor swimming pool, and an underground parking garage. The complex will be built using a hybrid timber construction system, bringing together a demanding program on a constrained urban site. The buildings will feature a vibrant green facade. CityArc is responsible for the technical planning of the green facades, as well as the irrigation and planting design. The green facade can help improve the microclimate and promote biodiversity (→ read more), and creates a vibrant, nature-rich learning environment for children and young people in an urban setting.
