The MarkOne in the Bilker Westend district in D\u00fcsseldorf sets standards for sustainable construction and integrates lush greenery into its architecture. As an office building located at the southern entrance to D\u00fcsseldorf, its iconic architecture with a fully greened south fa\u00e7ade characterizes the city skyline.<\/p>

The south fa\u00e7ade of the building, which covers an area of around 1,000 square meters, is completely clad with living walls up to a height of 60 meters. These vertical gardens are planted with a wide variety of species. The living green spaces are only interrupted by recesses for windows and balconies, creating a unique, natural ambience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Each floor of the MarkOne is equipped with balconies of different sizes and shapes. Troughs are attached to the balustrades of the balconies, from which perennials, grasses and smaller shrubs also grow. This design not only enhances the aesthetic quality of the building, but also promotes biodiversity at the site, improves the microclimate and significantly reduces the building's thermal storage capacity.<\/p>

Als B\u00fcrogeb\u00e4ude am s\u00fcdlichen Stadteingang von D\u00fcsseldorf gelegen, pr\u00e4gt seine ikonische Architektur mit einer vollfl\u00e4chig begr\u00fcnten S\u00fcdfassade die Skyline der Stadt. Die S\u00fcdfassade des Geb\u00e4udes, die eine Fl\u00e4che von etwa 1.000 Quadratmetern umfasst, ist bis zu einer H\u00f6he von 60 Metern vollst\u00e4ndig mit Living-Walls verkleidet. Diese vertikalen G\u00e4rten sind mit einer gro\u00dfen Artenvielfalt bepflanzt. Die lebendigen Gr\u00fcnfl\u00e4chen sind nur durch Aussparungen f\u00fcr Fenster und Balkone durchbrochen und schaffen so ein einzigartiges, nat\u00fcrliches Ambiente. Jede Etage des MarkOne ist mit Balkonen ausgestattet, die unterschiedliche Gr\u00f6\u00dfen und Formen aufweisen. An den Br\u00fcstungen der Balkone sind Tr\u00f6ge angebracht, aus denen ebenfalls Stauden, Gr\u00e4ser und kleinere Geh\u00f6lze wachsen. Diese Gestaltung st\u00e4rkt nicht nur die \u00e4sthetische Qualit\u00e4t des Geb\u00e4udes, sondern f\u00f6rdert auch die Biodiversit\u00e4t am Standort, verbessert das Mikroklima und reduziert die thermische Speicherf\u00e4higkeit des Geb\u00e4udes erheblich.
