Alexander Filbry has more than 5 years of experience and comprehensive expertise in landscape architecture planning in the field of outdoor facilities and façade greening, with a focus on LPH 2–8 of the HOAI. He worked with Jochen Weissenrieder Architects on the award-winning Schildacker district in Freiburg and with Herrmann Bosch Architects in Stuttgart on the Haus am Sonnenstück. Prior to this, he completed his training as a state-certified technician in gardening and landscaping, with a thesis entitled “Swimming ponds as local recreation areas,” and has several years of experience in practical implementation. In addition, he developed an independent facade greening system to market maturity and therefore has a very high level of detailed expertise.

Lisa Plückebaum

Lisa Plückebaum has several years of experience in landscape architecture planning in the service profile of outdoor facilities in LPH 3–7 of the HOAI. She already specialized in the topic of façade greening in her bachelor's and master's thesis “Vertical Meadows as a Benefit for Biodiversity,” Implementation of Stepping Stone Biotopes in Urban Environments. As a certified fruit tree keeper, she has extensive experience in practical gardening and landscaping thanks to her family's horticultural business with a tree nursery.

Hanna Schrader has more than 13 years of experience in landscape architecture planning in all phases of the HOAI. Before joining CityArc, she worked as a project manager at various landscape architecture firms in Freiburg and Berlin, specializing in outdoor facilities and traffic facilities. She has been involved in complex construction projects in public spaces, such as the BV Rotteckring Freiburg, the BV Blasiikirchplatz, Nordhausen, and the BV Schlüsselstraße, Neuenburg, as well as numerous residential environment designs and redesigns of private gardens. At the same time, she continuously gained experience in practical implementation in GALA construction and was involved in applied nature conservation at the Department of Conservation, Northland, New Zealand.

Susanne Schlönvogt has more than 35 years of experience in architectural planning, including over 20 years of independent work in facade planning across all phases of the HOAI. She has been involved in complex construction projects such as the Vitra Chair Museum, Günter Pfeifer/Frank Gehry, Weil am Rhein, the Cantonal Hospital, Silvia Gmür Reto Architects, Basel, and the Upper Secondary School for Color Technology, ENS Architects, Berlin. With a focus on facade greening, she has worked on Quartier 6.1 & 8 in Neckarpark, Stuttgart, and the new ministry building, Staab Architects, Berlin.
Christoph Ebert

Christoph Ebert has more than 5 years of experience in architectural planning in the field of building construction, with a focus on LPH 3 and 5 of the HOAI. Julian Barrett has several years of experience in architectural planning in the field of building construction, with a focus on LPH 3–6 of the HOAI (German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers). He previously completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and has several years of experience in the practical implementation of high-end furniture construction, with a focus on solid wood.
During his studies, he was involved in drinking water projects in South Africa and, for his bachelor's thesis, in a clay construction project in Gambia using exclusively natural raw materials and upcycled materials. He deepened his enthusiasm for structural constructions from nature during a semester studying bionics in Bremen.

Selina Burgun has more than four years of experience in building construction planning with a particular focus on LPH 5–8. Before joining CityArc, she worked in construction management at HochTief, BV FH Kaiserslautern, and in established architectural firms, including as a working student at LBB Kaiserslautern. A semester abroad in Portugal at Universidade do Porto and the award-winning project “Organic timber constructions – an observation deck,” Brisbane, Prof. Dr. Robeller, cemented her enthusiasm for synergies between architecture and vegetation, which led to her thesis entitled “Foundation situations in the immediate vicinity of root space,” Prof. Oda Pälmke.
Anette Büsing

Anette Büsing has more than 25 years of experience in architectural planning in all phases of the HOAI. Since studying interior design at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart, she has worked as a freelance interior designer with Matteo Thun Milan, Alsop & Störmer Hamburg, LAVA Berlin, and ingenhoven architects Düsseldorf, among others. She has been responsible for numerous award-winning interiors, such as the Lanserhöfe in London, Hamburg, Tegernsee, and Sylt, the SIDE Hotel in Hamburg, the Hyatt Hotel in Düsseldorf, and the Schauspielhaus theater in Düsseldorf, and has been involved in greening projects such as the Calwer Passage in Stuttgart and KÖ Bogen 2 in Düsseldorf. The direct interaction between interior space, building construction, and the surrounding landscape plays a central role in her holistic design concepts.

Frederike Klimm has more than six years of experience in academia. Before joining CityArc, she worked as a research assistant at the Botanical Garden in Freiburg, where she was involved in research, public relations, and knowledge transfer. In addition to her work in research and teaching, she worked at uniTV, Freiburg's student television station, and published several film contributions. She completed her doctorate as part of the international and interdisciplinary research projects “GrowBot – Towards a New Generation of Plant-inspired Growing Artefacts” and “livMatS – Living, Adaptive and Energy-autonomous Materials Systems.” Prior to that, she completed her studies in biology at the University of Freiburg with research stays in the UK (Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh) and the US (Friday Harbor Laboratories, University of Washington).
Pia Ringel

Pia Ringel has several years of experience in various scientific, technical, and practice-oriented fields. Before joining CityArc, she worked as a tutor for fundamentals of statics and mechanics at RWTH Aachen University and gained practical experience in planning topics at a TGA office in Wuppertal. At the same time, she worked for several years as an industrial climber (FISAT Level 1) in Aachen, Seilworx. She wrote her bachelor's thesis on “Climate change adaptation of tree species in North Rhine-Westphalia” and specialized in water management as part of her master's degree at BOKU Vienna. In addition, she has been involved in applied nature conservation at Berwaldprojekt e.V., Germany, for several years as a group leader for forest school weeks in BnE (Education for Sustainable Development) and acts as a torrent inspector in local flood protection in Vienna.
Martin Belz

Martin Belz has more than 35 years of experience in implementing green building projects. In addition to numerous large-scale projects involving intensive roof greening, these also include complex construction projects with interior greening and outstanding projects with façade greening, such as Kö-Bogen II in Düsseldorf and Calwer Passage in Stuttgart.

Kilian Lingen has been a member of the executive board since CityArc was founded in 2022. Prior to this, he worked as a lecturer at TU Darmstadt, as a research assistant at HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen under Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nicole Pfoser, as a project manager at a company specializing in façade greening, and in the design of building greening. In 2025 and 2026, he was appointed as a juror for the WGIN AWARD and is also working as a lecturer for HfWU Nürtingen-Geislingen. He completed his studies in biology with a focus on botany, plant physiology, and vegetation ecology at TU Darmstadt and is currently pursuing a doctorate on the topic of cooling effects through wall-mounted facade greening.
